We created Ruff Food Bites to deliver the same powerhouse formula as our Ruff Food Bars—just in a mess-free, bite-sized format that’s easy to scoop, serve, or sprinkle. Whether you’re feeding at home, topping a bowl, or packing light for an adventure, Ruff Food Bites are ready whenever you are.
Crafted from real, nutrient-dense ingredients with no fillers, these bites are made from grass-fed beef, organ meats, and a blend of fruits and veggies—then freeze-dried or air-dried to lock in flavor and nutritional value without preservatives or excess moisture.
Inspired by Oakley, my daughter’s Type 1 Diabetic service dog, Ruff Food was originally developed in 2018 with the help of our holistic vet to fuel long backpacking trips. Today, these same recipes continue to support not only active dogs but also seniors and those with special dietary needs—including dogs battling cancer or chronic illness.
And because our family dog Frodo, has a very sensitive digestive system and can’t tolerate raw food, we made some changes: we cut our Ruff Food Bars into smaller pieces and freeze-dried them to create Ruff Food Bites—a shelf-stable, easy-to-digest solution for dogs like Frodo.
